Above & Beyond at SOLID NYE 2011, Vancouver, BC, Canada (Friday December 31, 2010).Solid Events cordially invites you to one of Western Canada's Biggest NYE event, Solid is proud to present their annual New Year's Eve event "SOLID NYE 2011", an all ages party at the Pacific Coliseum! Join the eve of 2011 to countdown with an expected attendance of 4500+ party people! This massive event will feature trance legends, ABOVE & BEYOND along with other DJMAG's Top 100 DJ's. The event will be epic, so make sure you buy your tickets in advance before it sells out!The arena also hosts a variety of concerts and other events.Designed by W. K. Noppe in 1966-67, with its simple geometric shape and distinctive ring of white panels, the building can be classified as formalist architecture. Used initially as home to the WHL's Vancouver Canucks, the building was used to attract an NHL franchise in 1970 and a World Hockey Association franchise in 1973. The Coliseum underwent renovations and additions in the late 1970s, but its role as host of an NHL team and a main venue for events in Vancouver was lost with the building of General Motors Place (now Rogers Arena) in 1995.
